Benue State Assembly Screens Remaining  Commissioner Nominees

The Benue State House of Assembly has  screened the remaining nine of the 17 commissioner nominees sent to the House by Governor Hyacinth Alia.

Governor Alia had sent the names of the commissioner nominees on July 27.

However, the House screened eight of the nominees on Thursday and adjourned for continuation on Friday.

Those screened on Friday were Mr Omale Omale, Mr Aondowase kunde, Professor Jonah Ogbaji, Mr Martins Shaagee, Mr Michael Oglagba.

Also screened were Mr Ugwu Odoh, Mr Awuna Orpin, Mr kwaghgba Amande and Mr Tiza Imojime.

The nominees, after answering questions put before them, were asked to take a bow and leave.

The Speaker of the House, Mr Hyacinth Dajoh, commended members for their patience while screening the nominees and adjourned sitting till August 17 for their confirmation.
