The Catholic Bishop of Abakaliki Diocese Ebonyi State, Southeast Nigeria, His Lordship Michael Okoro has called on all Nigerians to embrace peace and eschew voilence in all ramifications.
Bishop Okoro made the call during the burial of a traditional ruler of Agalegu Community in Ebonyi Local Government Area of the State, His Royal Highness Eze Emmanuel Ajibo in Abakaliki the State capital.
Okoro said “with love and understanding, everybody will always be at peace”.
The Chairman Christian Association of Nigeria CAN, Very Reverend Father Abraham Nwali said people should emulate the good virtues of the late traditional Ruler.
” Eze Emmanuel Ajibo was a man of principle, he lived a life worthy of emulation, we must all learn from the good legacies he has left behind,” Nwali said.
Speaking at the event, a former Minister of Power and steel, Chief Godwin Ogbaga said the burial was a celebration of life as the man died a fulfilled king.
Also speaking, the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Cletus Ofoke said the King was a father to all who came across him.
The Chairman of Ebonyi Local Government Area, Chief Mrs Chinyere Nwogbaga said the a time like this is a time for sober reflection for all living.
The Prince of the Kingdom, Paul Ajibo said he is going to uphold all the good the legacies the royal father.
