The Vice President-elect, who described his re-election as a “Humbling experience” for Zulum and the party, prayed that God will grant the governor-elect the wisdom, good health and generosity of spirit to move the state forward.
Speaking further on the general outcome of the governorship election, Shettima said: “It is normal in democracy to win some and lose some,” and advised aggrieved parties to challenge the results in court. “He said the outcome of the elections is a reflection of the people’s choice across the country just like in Borno, Yobe, Lagos and other States where the All Progressive Congress won the votes of the people.”
