Nigeria’s prominent Kano businessman and philanthropist, Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata, will be laid to rest in Madina, Saudi Arabia, by his final wish to be buried beside his late wife.
Although his burial will take place in Saudi Arabia, a funeral prayer was held in absentia at the Umar Bin Khattab Mosque in Kano.
The prayer was led by the Chairman of the Kano Council of Ulama, Sheikh Ibrahim Khalil, alongside the Commandant General of the Kano Hisbah Board, Sheikh Ibrahim Daurawa.
Among the dignitaries in attendance were the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I. Jibrin; members of the Kano State Executive Council; and notable figures from the business community, among others.
