Code of Conduct Tribunal Suspends Kano State Anti-corruption Boss

The Code of Conduct Tribunal has suspended the Chairman, Kano State Anti-Corruption and Public Complaints Commission, Muhuyi Magaji.

He was suspended following a ten-count charge of corruption filed against him by the Code of Conduct Bureau on the 16th of November, 2023.

Delivering the ruling, the Chairman Code of Conduct Tribunal, Justice Danladi Umar, established that the tribunal has the competence and jurisdiction to hear the case.

He said that Muhuyi Magaji can not continue to discharge the duties and responsibilities of the office while facing trial.

The case has been adjourned to the 7th and 8th of May 2024 for a hearing.
