The National Association of Realtors (NAR) has hosted its first-ever global Regional Summit, uniting hundreds of real estate professionals, developers, and investors from around the world.
The event fostered insightful discussions, strategic networking, and a shared vision for the future of the real estate industry.
Ethical considerations and best practices were central themes, emphasising transparency, professionalism, and adherence to high ethical standards to build market trust and confidence.
President-elect Kevin Brown stressed the importance of professionalism in the real estate sector, calling it a serious business driving economic growth, job creation, and family stability.

He emphasised the need for elevated standards. “We must uphold the highest ethical standards, ensuring all members adhere to a strict code of conduct and receive the necessary training and education to succeed.”
Brown also championed increased advocacy to propel the industry forward.
“We must actively engage with diverse communities and advocate for policies that promote fair and equitable access to housing for all, ensuring the dream of homeownership is within reach of everyone.”
The summit highlighted the crucial role of collaboration and strategic partnerships in overcoming shared challenges.
Keynote speakers offered invaluable insights.
These included Frank Oti (Global Ambassador to Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa, and Uganda), Holy Becker (Global Administration), Gbenga Ismail (Vice Chairman, AEAN), Alireza Memar (Global Coordinator to Africa and the Middle East), and Lazarus Mugabi (Association of Real Estate Agents, Uganda), who discussed market trends, investment strategies, and the need for innovation and collaboration to unlock the industry’s full potential.
Dr. Adeniyi Tinubu (Advisory Board) and John Gormley (Mainstreet Realtors USA) described the event as a wake-up call, urging professionals to upgrade their knowledge through training, registration, and due diligence to avoid being left behind.
They highlighted the summit’s creation of seamless cross-border transactions poised to boost economies and facilitate collaboration between the public and private sectors in advancing the real estate landscape.
According to them, “the Summit is a win for real estate professionals, opening their field to global best practices and encouraging greater engagement in training and due diligence. The collaborative spirit shared promises to foster a more efficient and sustainable real estate ecosystem.”
The event which also had in attendance, the Ugandan Minister of Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Judith Nabakooba provided significant networking opportunities, connecting experienced professionals with emerging talents.
Highlights of the event were the decoration of members with NAR professional Pin and awards presentations.
