Commission Reviews Year of Growth at Thanksgiving Gathering

The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has declared that the Commission is operating on a “high altitude,” attributing its renewed momentum and recent successes to the grace and blessings of God.

The Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, made the statement during the Annual Thanksgiving Service held at the NDDC Event Centre in Port Harcourt, where management and staff gathered to express gratitude for the achievements recorded by the agency over the past year.

He noted that the multiple awards of excellence received by the Commission in 2025 were a strong motivation to intensify efforts and raise performance standards in 2026.

According to him, thanksgiving remains a vital culture the Commission must continually embrace in order to attract divine guidance and greater accomplishments, he stressed that God had remained faithful and merciful to the NDDC, guiding and protecting the Commission and its workforce in the discharge of their responsibilities.

The NDDC Chief Executive Officer further explained that thanksgiving was a powerful way of seeking the face of God, adding that gratitude, even in the midst of challenges, could bring about positive change and turnaround.

He assured staff that under his leadership, Management would continue to work harmoniously with employees, while calling for sustained support to enable the Board and Management to achieve their set targets.

In his exhortation, the Rivers Regional Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Remi Odebode, said the NDDC had discovered the secret of greatness and success, which he described as “locked in thanksgiving”.

He emphasised that God’s blessings would continue to follow the Commission and its leadership because of their commitment to reverencing God through gratitude.

Also speaking at the service, the NDDC Executive Director, Finance anddministration, Alabo Iyaye, reaffirmed the Commission’s resolve to continually give thanks to God for the numerous blessings and favours bestowed on the agency.

Earlier, in his opening remarks, the Director of Administration and Human Resources, Mr. Patrick Ekade, expressed appreciation to God for the successes recorded by the NDDC over the years.

Similarly, the NDDC Fellowship Pastor Sabbath Udoma, observed that God had answered the prayers of staff by blessing the Commission with purposeful and effective leadership.
