Commissioner Lauds Achievements of Sokoto Governor Within 100 Days in Office

The Sokoto State Commissioner for Local Governments and Community Development, Ibrahim Dade-Adare, has applauded leadership of Governor Ahmed Aliyu, towards the attainment of good governance and delivery of the dividends of democracy to people in the state.

Dade-Adare stated this when he speaks to Journalists in his office on the achievements recorded so far by the sokoto state Governor within shortest possible time.

According to him, Governor Aliyu deserved commendation considering the number of projects he executed with limited available resources within one hundred days in office.

This is in view of the significant landmarks so far recorded in his administration in steering the affairs of the state, the governor deserves more  commendation.

” about 20 kilometers roads was rehablitated within metropolis, while about 50 kilometers at the rural areas has also being renovated and some works is ongoing.

” on water supply, about 42 boreholes were renovated to restore adequate water supply within sokoto state and it’s environs.

” Schools were also renovated and fully furnished by the present administration of Governor Aliyu to enhance teaching and learning in the state.

” All these developmental projects is being paid without any kobo owe by the government,” he noted.

Dade-Adare further noted that the state government under the leadership of Governor Aliyu was able to purchased tones of millet, rice and other grains which distribution has since commenced free of charge across 23 local government areas in order to cushion the effects of subsidy removal.

He explained that another set of 20 Toyota Camry 2022 and fourty 18 seater bus was procured and launched for women and other citizens to ease transportation in and outside the state.

Enhance their operations

The Commissioner also said the government of Ahmed Aliyu also procured another set of 30 Toyota Hilux which has already been given to security operatives to enhance their operations.

He said that over one hundred thousand bags of fertilizer was procured and was launched by the government also to be distributed free to Farmers in the state.

He advised the people of the state, especially the opposition to come and join hands with this government of Ahmed Aliyu to move the state forward.

He expressed confidence in the ability, commitments and sincerity of the Governor to perform creditably and efficiently as the beginning of the administration have shown his commitments for the overall socio-economic development of the state.

The Commissioner urged people of the state to continue to pray and support the administration of Governor Ahmed Aliyu irrespective of political affiliation.

He said the government would provide needed services to people in the state and enhance the implementation of all the necessary policies and programmes for sustainable development in the state.
