Council Chairman commends APC’s leadership in Gombe State

The All Progressives Congress (APC) led Government in Gombe state has achieved more developmental projects in three years compared to the eight years of the previous Administration.

The Local Government Council Chairman of Shongom local government area in the state, Mr Yohanna Nahari stated this in an interview with Voice of Nigeria.

Mr. Nahari noted that the Governor Mohammed Inuwa Yahaya led Administration in Gombe state has brought more dividends of democracy to the people within the period he is piloting the affairs of the state which can not be compared with other Administrations in the past.

” When you look at the development in Gombe state and the dividends of democracy that the people of Gombe state are enjoying within the three years of APC led Government in the state it can not be compared with the 8 years of the previous Administration.

“Talking specifically in my area Shongom Local Government this is the first time that our people are experiencing the dividends of democracy in form of physical infrastructural development projects, the APC led Government has invested about 10 billion Naira in projects within the local government area. 

“For instance, there is an ongoing road construction projects in Shongom – Filiya Communities which cost about 5 billion Naira, also our Primary Health Care Center has also been upgraded to General Hospital and the infrastructure development is estimated to cost about 3 billion, the state government has also provide multiple building of class room within these Communities, and all these other ongoing projects when completed will put smiles in the faces of our people,” he stated.

Primary Election

On the forthcoming primary election, the Council Chairman called on members to put the interest of the party first above other personal interest.

He pleaded with members to conduct themselves like they did during recently conducted party Congresses and Convention.

“I want our party members to conduct themselves honorably as they did during the Convention and Congresses, and for the aspirants I encourage everyone to play the game by rules so we can continue to give the people the dividends of democracy they deserve, and for the delegates we should choose leaders who have the interest of the people at heart,” he said.

Also reacting to the recent decamping of the member Representing Pero Chonge in the Gombe State House of Assembly Mr. Samuel Markus Winna from the All Progressive Congress (APC) to the People’s Democractic Party (PDP), the Chairman said the member left the party for his own personal interest.

“I have just mentioned to you the level of development that the APC government have brought to our people, and if with all these achievements someone within the party still have the mind to leave the party then, I believe he left for his personal interest, because uptil date we don’t know why he left the party, this is the same person that when he came into the party we gave him all the support that he needed to succeed and today he has left the party, we wish he well,”he added.
