A Court in Nasarawa State has adjourned the hearing of a  case against Nasarawa west All Progressives Congress APC candidate, Mr. Shehu Tukur

The case which was adjourned until 7th of September was due to a delay in flight of the sitting Judge, Justice Nehizena Afolabi.

Lead lawyer, Barr. Ahmed Raji Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), counsel to the plaintiff, Labaran Magaji made this known shortly after the adjournment.

He stated that “Justice Nehizena Afolabi, could not make it to the court due to challenges beyond her control.”

Voice of Nigeria (VON) reports that Barr. Labaran Magaji, an aspirant at the APC Senatorial primaries dragged the party and the alleged winner to court for irregularities during the election.

Also, Magaji, said the adjournment was not deliberate, but the will of God as the judge is human and such things are bound to happen.

The plaintiff added that he approached the court to seek justice and that justice should never be sacrificed for anything.

Magaji expressed hope that at the end of the whole deliberation, the court would do justice to the matter.

He, therefore, urged his supporters to remain and deliver the party in all elections at the 2023 general elections.

On his part, counsel to the first defender (Shehu Tukur, APC Senatorial candidate), Dr. Mubarak Adekilekun said the announcement was not the fault of anybody.

He said they would be in court on the next adjourned day to prove their case.
