Covid-19 2nd Wave: Sokoto State Governor tests negative

The Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has been tested negative to Covid-19 virus.
Governor Tambuwal stated the development shortly after receiving the result of his test.
According to him, he subjected himself to repeated tests by relevant agencies to ascertain his health status, as required by the Covid-19 prevention protocols.
“It is with gratitude to Almighty Allah, that I inform the general public, particularly the good people of Sokoto State, that the outcome of the several tests I have gone through have all been negative,” the Governor said.
He expressed gratitude to his Deputy, Manir Dan’iya, for acting on his behalf while he was in self isolation and going through the mandatory procedures of determining his status.
Tambuwal also extend his appreciation to Sultan of Sokoto for his fatherly support and guidance through the period of isolation.
He also thanked members of his family, associates, friends, well-wishers and the good people of Sokoto State and the nation at large, for their goodwill, prayers and sympathy.
Governor Tambuwal urged the people to support the good and selfless work of relevant Covid-19 Agencies within and outside the state by adhering to all the prescribed practices for the prevention of further spread of the pandemic.
Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal had gone into self isolation due to his close physical contact with personalities, who have tested positive to Covid-19 during a recent official trips.
