Nigeria has recorded 156 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of persons who have tested positive in the country to 164,912.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced this via its official Twitter handle.
According to the tweet, the 156 new cases were from 11 states. Lagos state reported the highest number with 50 new cases, Enugu was second with 43 while Jigawa, Kaduna, Oyo and Rivers states the lowest with 1 new case respectively
“Lagos-50 Enugu-43 Adamawa-40 FCT-8 Ogun-5 Akwa Ibom-3 Plateau-3 Jigawa-1 Kaduna-1 Oyo-1 Rivers-1.”
The NCDC also tweeted that as of 27 April, 164,912 cases had been confirmed, 155,012 cases treated and discharged, while 2,063 deaths were recorded.
