COVID-19: NYSC lauds Corp members’ selfless service

The National Youth Service Corps, NYSC has commended corps members for their selfless services in sacrificing their time, money and skills to produce different COVID-19 safety items to curb the spread of coronavirus pandemic in the country.

The Director-General of the NYSC, Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim gave the commendation today in his office in Abuja, while presenting letters of commendation to some of the Corps Members that were at the forefront in combating the dreaded disease.

He urged them to sustain the legacy of hard work, integrity and never relent to add value to humanity wherever they find themselves.

According to the Director, Press and Public Relations of the NYSC, Mrs Adenike Adeyemi,  General Ibrahim stated that their efforts have added value to the NYSC Scheme in no small measure.

“Be selfless in your post-service year responsibilities. Sustain the legacy of trust, hard work and continue to add value to the society”.

 “Many of you produced sanitisers, facemasks, pedal-operated water and sanitiser dispensers among other things. We appreciate you and we are very proud of you”, the Director-General said.

The Director-General also admonished other Corps Members to use the NYSC Scheme as a veritable platform to showcase their potentials for both personal and societal development.
