COVID-19 Vaccine: President Buhari’s Chief of Staff, Gambari gets first jab

The Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari and Permanent Secretary State House, Tijjani Umar have taken their first dose of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine.

They were vaccinated by Chief Nursing Officer Esther Ibrahim,  on Monday, March 8, at the Special Care Centre of State House Clinic, Abuja.

Speaking shortly after taking his jab, Chief of staff to the President said he was following the footsteps of President Buhari, who took his on Saturday.

He used the occasion to call on all eligible Nigerians to come forward and receive the vaccine.

 

 

 

Also speaking at the event, Permanent Secretary State House, Tijjani Umar said the government needs to protect its citizens thus the provision of the vaccines.

He said all Nigerians should take the vaccine Because it is safe and very useful.

Those who also took their jab at the brief event were the Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, retired Brigadier General Buba Marwa and the Senior Special Assistant tithe President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu.

Secretary to Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, who was earlier scheduled to take his jab at the event, will take it in the evening at the weekly briefing of the Presidential Task Force.
