In order to give Nigerians much-needed relief before the holidays, Dangote Petroleum Refinery has lowered the price of its Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) product to less than N900 a litre.

The privately held oil refinery set a new pricing of N899.50 per litre on thursday, after lowering it to N970 per liter on November 24.

According to a statement released by the company on Thursday, this cut is intended to save transportation expenses over the holiday season.

The Dangote Group has unveiled a new deal to further benefit customers, according to a statement released by Anthony Chiejina, Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer.

Customers can buy an extra litre of fuel on credit for each litre purchased with cash at Dangote Petroleum Refinery in addition to the holiday discount.

“To alleviate transport costs during this holiday season, Dangote Refinery is offering a holiday discount on PMS. From today, our petrol will be available at N899.50 per litre at our truck loading gantry or SPM.

Furthermore, for every litre purchased on a cash basis, consumers will have the opportunity to buy another litre on credit, backed by a bank guarantee from Access Bank, First Bank, or Zenith Bank,” said Chiejina.

As the nation approaches the holiday season, the refinery also thanked Nigerians for their ongoing support.

Chiejina also emphasized the refinery’s dedication to making sure Nigerians have access to competitively priced, high-quality petroleum products that are engine and ecologically friendly.

He emphasized that the refinery’s activities signal the end of Nigeria serving as a landfill for inferior and “blended” imports, which have presented serious hazards to the environment, machinery, and public health.

According to the announcement, the Dangote Refinery is the biggest single-train refinery in the world, capable of producing 650,000 barrels per day (BPD).

According to the statement, it can supply all of Nigeria’s needs for refined petroleum products, with extra available for export.
