The Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has expressed deep appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his personal visit to condole with the family of the late elder statesman and business magnate, Alhaji Aminu Dantata.

In a statement by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature, Governor Yusuf described the President’s visit as a remarkable show of compassion and true statesmanship.

He noted that, President Tinubu’s prompt response to the news of Dantata’s passing, including sending a high-powered delegation to the burial in Madina, Saudi Arabia, and facilitating necessary diplomatic arrangements, reflected genuine empathy and leadership.

“The entire funeral process was conducted with dignity and efficiency, made possible by Your Excellency’s unwavering support,” the Governor said. “Your presence here in Kano, despite your tight schedule, speaks volumes about your respect for the Dantata family and your connection to the people of Kano.” he added.

During the visit, the eldest son of the deceased, Alhaji Tajudeen Aminu Dantata, also expressed the family’s gratitude to President Tinubu. He acknowledged the President’s long-standing relationship with their late father and pledged the family’s commitment to upholding his values of humility, service, and generosity.

In his tribute, President Tinubu described the late Aminu Dantata as a national treasure — a man of integrity, humility, and service.

“We have lost a conscience of the nation,” the President remarked. “May Allah, in His infinite mercy, grant him Aljannah Firdaus.” the President prayed.
