Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri has commended the successful completion of tenure of the immediate past Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Boss Mustapha.
Governor Fintiri gave the commendation at a family Thanksgiving Service to celebrate Mr Mustapha at St. Monica Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria, (LCCN) Cathedral Yola, the Adamawa State Capital.
Mr. Mustapha who hails from Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State was appointed two times as SGF by former President Muhammadu Buhari between 2017-2019 and 2019-2023.
Governor Fintiri described Mustapha’s tenure as the SGF as a testament to his unwavering dedication, exceptional leadership, and remarkable vision.
Fintiri added that Mustapha throughout his tenure has worked tirelessly to ensure the smooth functioning of the government and the effective coordination of its various arms.
“Under his guidance, we have witnessed significant strides in the implementation of policies and programs that have had a profound impact on the lives of Nigerians,” said Fintiri.
He commended the role played by Mustapha as the Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, saying it was instrumental to leading Nigeria’s response to the global pandemic.
“It is important to acknowledge his integrity, professionalism, and passion for public service. He has exemplified the qualities of a true leader, consistently prioritizing the nation’s interest above all else.
“His dedication to the pursuit of good governance and his tireless efforts in ensuring transparency and accountability have set a high standard for others to follow,” Fintiri said.
The governor appreciated the former President Muhammadu Buhari for entrusting Mustapha with the responsibility of serving as the SGF which he noted has facilitated the development of the country.
Nigeria’s Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume who represented President Bola Tinubu applauded the celebrant for his meritorious service to the nation.
Also Former Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo who was represented by Senator Babajide Ojide commended the staunch commitment of Mustapha to bringing positive change in the public service.
The representative of former president Goodluck Jonathan among other speakers at the event wished Mustapha well in his future endeavors.
The celebrant, Boss Mustapha while giving his remarks went down memory lane his lifetime profile and expressed gratitude to God for keeping him to serve the country to the best of his ability.
The event drew the attention of dignitaries and top political starlwarts. Former Governors of Plateau and Kebbi States Simon Lalong and Abubakar Bagudu, Deputy Speaker House of Representatives Benjamin Kalu, national and state lawmakers among others were all present at the event.
