Famous Nigerian Disc Jockey, Florence Otedola,  popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has partnered with the British Airways to bring Afrobeats to flyers with exclusive playlists to be available from November 1.

Calum Laming, the Chief Customer Officer of British Airways, announced in a statement that DJ Cuppy has curated her top tracks for the airline’s inflight entertainment system. DJ Cuppy is a skilled performer who has traveled to over 30 countries across the globe.

Luming said this was to celebrate the increase in the number of flights between Africa and London with the launch of British Airways’ new route from Accra to London Gatwick.

According to him, this is  in addition to the airline’s daily services to London Heathrow.

“Customers across British Airways’ entire long-haul network will be able to enjoy tracks including “Jollof On The Jet” and “Feel Good”, blending spicy African beats with hip hop and reggae.

“This year we have doubled the entertainment content available on board and music lovers can settle in and enjoy curated playlists and popular podcasts from every genre,” he said.

According to Luming, customers can access various WiFi packages for personal devices, including streaming.

DJ Cuppy expressed her excitement about partnering with British Airways on their inaugural Afrobeats playlist. She further stated that, just like the airline, music has the ability to take people to different parts of the world and she looks forward to bringing uplifting and positive vibes to flyers through the playlist.

“I’m pleased to add this exclusive mix to their extensive music collection and hope customers sit back, plug in their headphones and turn the volume up!.” DJ Cuppy said.
