In order to ensure the proper Healthcare Delivery in Ebonyi State Southeast, especially among women, children and internally displaced persons, the wife of Ebonyi State Governor, Mrs Uzoamaka Nwifuru is to Flag Off the Immunisation Against Human Papilloma Virus to save the lives of Ebonyi women Against Cervical Cancer.
Mrs Nwifuru disclosed this during the inauguration of Committee for her pet project “Better Health For Rural Women,” Children Aged and internally displaced persons in Afikpo Local Government Area of the State.
She said, “The Human Papilloma Virus is mostly transmitted Sexually, and even as we are going to flag off the Immunisation, awareness must also be created to teach our young girls on how to prevent themselves from sexually transmitted diseases.”
The wife of the Governor in Collaboration with Ebonyi State Health Insurance Agency EBSHIA enrolled 100 persons there in Afikpo Local Government for more health efficiency.
It would be recalled that the wife of the Governor has enrolled over 4,7000 pregnant women in the State into health insurance.
