Ebonyi: Legal practitioner preaches peace among political parties
By Moses Nwite, Abakaliki
A legal in Ebonyi State Southeast Nigeria, Barrister Felix Mgbada, has called on politicians from various political parties to always maintain peace in all their political activities.
Barrister Mgbada made this statement while addressing Journalists on the best way to play politics in this modern time in Abakaliki the State capital.
Barrister Mgbada, who is also an elder statesman, maintained that if each political party in the state is peaceful and does more in campaigns instead of rigging elections, the society would be entirely peaceful.
He urged politicians to stop seeing politics as do or die affairs but rather as a friendly match between two groups.
He decried the way politicians engage youths in political thuggery.
“Our youths should know that any politician who engages them in Political thuggery does not love them, if thuggery is so lucrative like that, why is it that their children are not involved in the business instead of their children are there overseas studying to become greater in future,” Mgbada added.
He urged youths to eschew violence of any type.
“Our youths should know that they are the leaders of tomorrow and should not in any form be agents of destruction of any kind,” He said.
He, therefore, called on the youths and entire electorates to always ensure that only good persons are elected into positions of authority.
