The lawmaker representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency, Comrade Chinedu Ogah, in conjunction with the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) have distributed relief materials to the victims of flood disaster in Ikwo local government area of Ebonyi State, southeast Nigeria.
Ogah said the distribution of relief materials, across the 31 political wards and 497 polling units in the local government, was to cushion the effects of the flood on Ebonyi people.

“The masses are my strength; they are the people that elected me. They gave me the confidence; that is why anything that concerns them concerns me the most.
“I thank Mr President, Bola Tinubu; the Vice President Shettima; and the Chief of Staff to Mr President, Mr Gbajabiamila, for making this possible.
“I also thank the Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru for being considerate and allowing the National Assembly and NEMA to approve of this.
“Nwifuru is a man with a large heart, and I commend him for that,” Ogah said.
The representative of the Southeast Zonal office of NEMA, Mr Nnaynelugo Ezeani, pointed out the need for continuous sensitization in various communities to ensure that people are properly educated on emergency-related situations, thereby reducing the effects of the disaster.
One of the beneficiaries, a visually impaired woman, Mrs Nweke Victoria, on behalf of others, thanked the lawmaker and NEMA for coming to their aid.
She prayed for God’s grace and protection upon them.
