The women of Ebonyi State Southeast Nigeria has Organised prayer summit on security.
The Wife of Ebonyi State Governor Mrs. Rachel Umahi stated this during the summit at Ecumenical Centre Abakaliki the State Capital.
Mrs. Umahi advised mothers to rise up to their responsibilities of training their Children in such a way that they can contribute meaningfully to the society.
She said “the work you are doing in your family can only be paid by God not your husband or whosoever”.
“We should know that charity begins at home and manifest in public. When our children are well trained, the society will not only benefit positively from such a child but the world at large would feel his impact”.
“The Insecurity we are seeing today would be a thing of past if mothers should go back home and do our work which God has created us specifically to do,” She added.
She encouraged women to be patient in all they do and you will see God’s blessings coming upon you.
The Senior Special Adviser to Ebonyi State Governor on Welfare and Religious Matters, Very Reverend Father Abraham Nwali said the summit came at the right time, especially this period which everywhere is in the state of despair.
He advised women to know that they are the instruments that can change the situation of the country.
On her part, one of the guest Speakers, who is an actress in Nollywood Industry, Mrs. Ebele Okaro said Mothers should train their Child in such a way that they cannot depart from it when they grow up.
She said society will be better if mothers should know their enormous roles in society.
Another guest speaker who is a Lecturer at Assembles God Divinity School old Umahia, Mrs. Ngozi Oganya said women should be the gatekeepers in every home but you must first make yourself a role model before occupying that position of keeping the gate.
The State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Mrs. Chinwe Oka appreciated Ebonyi Women for organising such security summit.
The Chairman of Ebonyi Local Government Area, Mrs. Chinyere Nwogbaga appreciated God who gave Ebonyi women such initiative to Organise this special summit.
