The Governor of Edo state, in South-South Nigeria, Godwin Obaseki has cast his vote with reassurance on heavy turn out of voters in the state.

The governor who arrived polling unit 19, ward 4, at Emokpae Model Primary School in Oredo local government area of the State at about 11:08 was accredited and voted at 11:04 am along  with his wife Mrs. Betsy Obaseki.

He addressed journalists after voting at about 11:14am where he expressed how impressed he was at the turnout despite INEC starting the process late.

The turnout has been good. My concern is that the process should be fast to enable them clear the crowd of voters before the 2:30pm closing time.

“From three or four voting I witnessed, the performance of BAVAS is almost flawless. Voting is ongoing across the State and the complain of ballot snatching must be confirmed and verified.

“Am confident of the process because we made adequate preparation to ensure every polling units have at least five security personnel to enhance law and order.”
