Egypt To Represent Africa At ITTF Mixed Team World Cup

Egypt will proudly represent Africa at the forthcoming ITTF Mixed Team World Cup, scheduled to take place at the Sichuan Gymnasium in Chengdu, China from December 4th – 10th, 2023.

African champions Egypt were been listed among the 16 teams that will compete in the prestigious tournament, which brings together the finest mixed doubles table tennis players from around the globe.

Egypt as the continent’s champions will be competing against Australia, Canada, China, Chinese Taipei, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea Republic, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Romania, Singapore, Slovakia, Sweden, and United States.

Players from powerhouse nations and emerging talents from across the globe will converge in China, eager to write their names into history and vie for the coveted title of ITTF Mixed Team World Cup champions.

The event marks a groundbreaking shift in the world of table tennis. Embracing an innovative mixed team format, this edition of the World Cup champions the spirit of collaboration and equality in sport, inviting both men and women to compete side by side for national glory.

This illustrious list includes winners of Men’s or Women’s Continental team events and the best teams evaluated through a combination of men’s and women’s team ranking positions, with a limit of six teams per continent. Teams will consist of three to four men’s and women’s players each, creating a dynamic blend of talents at the table.
