The Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri has admonished Muslim faithful to sustain and take beyond the Ramadan
lessons of sacrifice, discipline and love which they learned during the period.

The Governor said Nigerians must use the period for a sober reflection on the state of things in the country.

While congratulating the Muslim Ummah for completing one of the Five Pillars of Islam, the Governor said “Remember that moderation is important in everything you do during this period.”

He said “the Muslim faithful has gone through one of the most rigorous Islamic obligations of one month fast and prayers as well as other forms of
Worship, thereby I urge them to imbibe the lessons learnt during the Ramadan period through sacrifices, almsgiving to the needy, continuous exhibition of piety as well as Charity to one another.”

“The Holy Month of Ramadan is an opportunity for our Muslim brothers and sisters to deepen their relationship with Allah, promote a life of sacrifice, charity, and love for one another,” the Governor said.

He also noted that the period of the Eid celebration was a clarion call for Nigerians to selfless service to God and humanity as well as a sincere commitment to righteous conducts in private and public life.

The Governor said; “Let us remember we are one people and continue to encourage one another to contribute to peace and unity amongst us. This will ultimately ensure our country remains the great nation that we are all proud of.”

Governor Fintiri reiterated the determination of his administration to deliver democratic dividends and called for cooperation from all citizens of the State to enable government succeed, especially in the ongoing peace process.
