Eid Al-Fitr: Kano Governor, Deputy, Speaker rejoice with Muslims

The Governor of Kano State in North-West Nigeria, Abba Yusuf, along with his Deputy, Aminu Gwarzo, and the Speaker of the State Assembly, Jibril Falgore, have extended their heartfelt felicitations to the Muslim Ummah and the people of Kano for the successful completion of the Ramadan fast.

In separate press statements issued by their spokespersons, both Governor Yusuf and his deputy Gwarzo congratulated the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr.

Governor Yusuf, as highlighted in a press statement by his media aide, Sunusi Bature, emphasized the importance of upholding the virtues of compassion, generosity, discipline, patriotism, and harmonious coexistence fostered during the sacred month of Ramadan. He urged the citizens of Kano to continue to embody these values and to seek divine guidance for leadership across all levels.

The governor pledged to the people of Kano that his administration would establish a conducive policy framework aimed at promoting peaceful cohabitation and unity for all residents.

“Promising days await the populace of Kano as the imminent administration under my stewardship will cultivate a propitious policy milieu for all to reside in peace and concord,” he said.

According to a press statement by the spokesperson to the deputy governor, Ibrahim Garba Shuaibu, Gwarzo emphasised the significance of Eid al-Fitr as a period for spiritual reflection, renewal, and strengthening the bonds of community.

The Deputy Governor, who doubles as the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, urged Kano residents to embrace the spirit of forgiveness, compassion, and generosity that lies at the heart of the Eid celebration.

Gwarzo called on all Kano residents to use this Eid as an opportunity to recommit themselves to working together for peace, unity, and progress in the state.

Also, the Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Jibril Ismail Falgore, in a press statement signed by his spokesperson, Kamaluddeen Sani Shawai, urged the Kano citizens and Nigeria to use the period to pray for the state and the country as a whole for Allah’s intervention to salvage the nation from the lingering challenges.

Falgore also urged all faithful to share more love and tolerate one another more as the season connotes a period of deep emotion towards the needs of others.

While congratulating the Muslim Ummah for the successful completion of Ramadan, Falgore reiterates the Kano Assembly’s commitment to providing quality legislation in the state.
