As the Presidential Election Petition Court, PEPC sitting at the Appeal Court Abuja prepares to deliver judgement on Wednesday 6th September, it says access to the premises can only be granted through genuine accreditation.

According to the Chief Registrar Court of Appeal, Umar Bangari, “only accredited individuals, including Counsel and representatives of Political Parties, will be granted access into the Courtroom.”

He advised interested members of the public to watch the proceedings from their television sets as the court has offered opportunity for live telecast by interested television stations.

While appealing for the cooperation of Nigerians, Bangari said the accreditation would be done at the court of appeal premises.

He noted that, there would be restrictions around the Court premises for security reasons, security breaches, and crowd control.

Wednesday’s Judgment is on the petitions filed by the Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party PDP, Atiku Abubakar and his counterpart in the Labour Party, Peter Obi as well as that of Allied People Movement challenging the declaration of President Bola Tinubu as winner of the Presidential Election.

They are seeking the Tribunal to nullify the election of Tinubu as the winner of the 2023 presidential election.

Meanwhile, judgement is also expected to be delivered by election tribunals in 25 states for Governorship, National Assembly, and State Assembly election petitions.
