Abiola stated this at a presidential parley, organized by the South-west Development Stakeholders Forum (SWDSF) on Tuesday in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.

According to him, the actions of the secessionists were unconstitutional and amounted to treason.

“I will not accept any action that would threaten the unity of Nigeria if elected, but my administration would encourage them if only it would not affect the unity of Nigeria.

“The People’s Redemption Party has been in existence for many years and remained the party that believes in true federalism,” he said.

The South-west Development Stakeholders Forum is made up of civil society organizations, professionals and religious leaders.

The interactive parley with presidential candidates of major political parties, which began on Tuesday, January 17, will end on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 in Ibadan, Oyo state.
