The Falconets of Nigeria defeated Senegal 2-1 in the second leg of their third round 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifier, winning 3-1 on aggregate at the Stade Lat Dior in Dakar on Saturday.
Nigeria took the lead in the 18th minute through Chinaza Kindness, who rose highest to head home a cross. The Falconets then doubled its lead in the 68th minute through Prescious Oscar from another header.
Senegal pulled a goal back through Sokhna Pene in the 76th minute. But it was only to be a consolation as the match finished 2-1 in favour of Nigeria.
The win means the Falconets advance 3-1 on aggregate and qualify for the final round, where they will take on Malawi for a spot in the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
