The objectives of the programme include to improve environmental sanitation and management; Encourage household financial and asset acquisition; Engage beneficiaries to attain sustainable livelihood; improve household consumption; Increase in utilization of health and nutrition services and improve school enrolment and attendance.

Speaking at the flag-off ceremony in Borno State, the Minister called for support:
“I am also optimistic that with the support and co-operation of Your Excellency and other stakeholders present here, we can lift 100 million out of poverty by 2030 as envisioned by President Muhammadu Buahri.”
