A delegation of female Chief Executive Officers of key federal government agencies has pledged to mobilise women across the country in support of President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress, APC, ahead of future elections.
According to the Special Adviser to the National Chairman of the APC, Mr. Abimbola Tooki the delegation, led by the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, paid a courtesy visit to the National Chairman of the APC, Nentawe Yilwatda, at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja, Nigeria .
The group, which comprised 37 women heading federal government agencies and parastatals, reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the party and supporting the re-election of President Tinubu.
During the meeting, the women highlighted their contributions to governance and grassroots development, noting that women remain the backbone of political mobilisation in Nigeria but are often underrepresented in political structures and leadership positions.
They stressed that women constitute the largest voting bloc in the country and pledged to intensify mobilisation efforts nationwide as the country moves toward the next election cycle.

Among those in the delegation were Aisha Rimi, Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission; Temitope Ilori, Director-General of the National Agency for the Control of AIDS; Olubunmi Kuku, Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria; Zubaida Umar of the National Emergency Management Agency; Binta Bello of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons; Mojoyinoluwa Dekalu-Thomas of the Nigerian Electricity Liability Management Company; Nonye Ayeni of the Nigerian Export Promotion Council; and Tola Akerele of the National Theatre Nigeria, among others.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Dabiri-Erewa said the women came together to support one another and demonstrate the collective impact of women in leadership across government institutions.
She added that the group was united in its support for the APC and the Tinubu administration and was prepared to contribute actively to the party’s success in the 2027 general elections.
Responding, APC National Chairman Professor Yilwatda commended the delegation for showcasing the achievements of Nigerian women in governance and assured them of the party’s support.
He encouraged the women to remain visible and actively involved in party programmes, noting that increased participation would further strengthen women’s influence within the party.
Yilwatda also revealed that members of the delegation would be included in committees for the forthcoming APC National Convention as part of efforts to broaden women’s participation in party activities.
He further assured them that the party’s technology-driven membership database would help identify and engage women at the grassroots level to strengthen mobilisation efforts nationwide.
The meeting ended with a renewed commitment by both the APC leadership and the female CEOs to deepen collaboration, strengthen women’s political participation, and consolidate support for the APC and the Tinubu administration.
