As Nigeria intensifies efforts to expand access to sustainable energy, the Being Human Foundation for the Less Privileged has distributed solar power systems to vulnerable households in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.
The initiative is aimed at easing electricity challenges faced by underprivileged communities while supporting national efforts to promote renewable and affordable energy solutions.
Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the occasion and Director-General of the Energy Commission of Nigeria, Dr Mustapha Abdullahi, commended the foundation for its intervention in the power sector, describing it as a bold step towards improving the living conditions of low-income households.

He added that the Energy Commission of Nigeria would collaborate with the foundation to expand the project beyond the pilot phase, in line with the Federal Government’s commitment to achieving universal access to electricity by 2030.
