Foundation Trains 70 Agro-Service Providers In Niger Delta

The Foundation for Partnership Initiatives in the Niger Delta (PIND) said it has trained 70 agro-service providers across the nine Niger Delta States to improve service delivery to farmers in the region.

Speaking, PIND’s Programme Director, Dr. Effiong Essien said the aim was to improve the lives and livelihood of smallholder farmers (SHFs), micro-small-and-medium-enterprises (MSMEs), and service providers through skill-building and skill-sharing.

According to him, the capacity building initiative provided training on business development and management, business sustainability, customer relationships, marketing/sales support services, and strategy development, among other skills.

Meanwhile, it was gathered that the workshop took place in Warri, Delta State, and Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State under PIND’s Market System Development (MSD) project to provide opportunities for networking and sharing peer-to-peer knowledge.
