Galaxy Backbone enhances network connectivity through capacity building

As part of efforts to ensure its infrastructure and services reaches all regions of the country, Galaxy Backbone Limited(GBB) is offering its expertise to Interra Networks, to reach users of digital services via indigenous companies.
To showcase its services and capacity, GBB has trained the staff of Interra Networks a Communications Company in the southern part of the country on ways to leverage the infrastructure and expand the services, while providing enhanced opportunities to customers.
The training took place in Enugu state where Galaxy Backbone has its Disaster Recovery Data centre that supports its Uptime certified Tier III Datacentre in Abuja.

According to GBB, “The training will also help equip the Staff on the GBB Digital Services that are specific to Public sector companies, Departments and Agencies and Small & Medium Enterprises in the South East and South-South part of the nation to benefit from this service”
“The training covers High-Speed Fibre Connectivity Services, Metropolitan & Wide Area Networks, Email, Hosting & Unified Communication services, Customer Support and Incident Management”.
The Agency reiterated its commitment to ensuring that its channel partners are fully equipped with the technology and services support and knowledge that will enable them to perform at optimum levels.
The GBB also restated that “Capacity building is a core aspect of GBB’s evolution as an organization providing digital services across the country in line with the directive of the Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy which is the supervising Ministry of Galaxy Backbone”
“With this fibre connectivity in two geopolitical zones in Nigeria, GBB is deepening broadband penetration across the country and widening the digital transformation drive of the federal government”
GBB gave the assurance that it will continue to deepen its partnerships with local ICT companies across the country in ensuring that more organizations at the state and local levels benefit from this fibre rollout.
