The Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has expressed strong optimism that the 2027 general elections will usher in decisive victories for President Bola Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, himself, and other candidates of the All Progressives Congress, to further consolidate of the gains of good governance.
Governor Eno made the assertion while receiving members of the ARISE Renewed Hope Initiative, a socio-political group, whom he described as a reflection of the Akwa Ibom spirit of unity and collective purpose, required to advance the State ARISE Agenda.
The Governor said enduring peace and unity remain the indispensable pillars for sustained progress and development in the State.
“ This Group reflects unity of the Akwa Ibom Spirit. This Group will enhance a seamless election for President Tinubu, Senator Godswill Akpabio myself and other candidates of the Party,” the Governor stated.
He stressed that as the state gradually approaches the next general elections, inclusiveness, consensus-building and sustained peace must remain paramount, as development thrives only in an atmosphere of unity and stability.
“As history beckons towards the general elections, we must ensure that all Groups have the endorsement of the Party. We must continue on the trajectory of Peace and Development. I want to use this opportunity to charge the people of Akwa Ibom State to participate in the on e-registation of voters by the Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC) and mobilise effectively for massive victory at the Polls,” Governor Eno added
Earlier, setting the tone for the visit, President General of the ARISE Renewed Hope Initiative, Mr. Stephen Uwem Okoko, said they were a group of like-minded individuals committed to mobilising broad-based support for the continued leadership of President Tinubu, Senate President Akpabio and Governor Eno.
“President Bola Tinubu’s administration has given Akwa Ibom State the best integration with the Federal Government. Today, we have a sitting and performing Senate President, Godswill Akpabio who is doing well, promoting the interest of Akwa Ibom State and fostering the unity of growth that abounds as the first son of the soil to attain that Office,” Okoko said.
He added that the group was firmly aligned with the political direction of the state and the ruling party ahead of 2027.
“Akwa Ibom State stands with President Bola Tinubu for his second term, we stand with Senator Godswill Akpabio not just for his reelection, but return as Senate President in 2027, support Gov. Umo Eno to consolidate on his impressive leadership service beyond 2027 and affirmed that the APC will win all 26 seats in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, 10 House of Representatives Seats and Three Senatorial seats,” the President General stated.
In his remarks, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the ARISE Renewed Hope Initiative, Mr. Victor Antai, said the synergy between Governor Eno and Senate President Akpabio has reshaped the political landscape of Akwa Ibom State, fostering stability and development.
“ It is the beginning of a new history and in 2027, we shall give every candidate of the APC in Akwa Ibom State, the utmost support for Victory,” Sir Antai said.
Also speaking, the State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Obong Stephen Ntukepo, commended the group for aligning with what he described as a new political chapter for the State, assuring the group of its inclusion in the party’s campaign architecture,
“This Group will have a place in the campaign structure of the APC as we look forward to when campaigns shall start and we will work in synergy to carry everyone along the paths of victory,” the APC Chairman added.
The ARISE Renewed Hope Initiative announced its leadership structure, with Hon. Udo Kierian as International Coordinator. Other members of the Board of Trustees include Hon. Otobong Bob, Sir Monday Uko, Prof. Eno Ibanga, Chief Saviour Enyiekere, and Prince Enobong Uwah as Secretary General.
Meanwhile, the Coordinators for the Senatorial Districts include Mrs. Eunice Thomas, Hon. Eric Akpan, Hon. Aniekan Uko, Hon. Uno Uno, and Hon. Anthony Luke, while other key officers include Mkpisong Frank Archibong as Organising Secretary, Glory Edet as Woman Leader, and Aniekan Umanah as Director of Media, among other stakeholders.
