Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, has briefed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on developments within Akwa Ibom State.
Speaking to journalists at the Victor Attah International Airport, the Governor stated that his recent visit to the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was a routine engagement aimed at updating the President on developments within the sub-regions.

“Naturally, from time to time, Governors go to brief the President. He is the father of the nation. So as a sub-national, you brief him on the affairs of the state, where you need help, and what is going on. It was one of such briefings,” he said.
Governor Eno had on 25th February, paid a working visit to President Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, where he briefed the President on the state of affairs in Akwa Ibom State.
Also speaking on his visit to the CSS Farm in Nasarawa State, the Governor explained that it was a study tour to examine the integrated agricultural facility, to enable the State team acquire more knowledge for possible emulation, application and replication at the ongoing Ibom Model Farm, in line with his vision for agriculture as contained in the Arise Agenda.
“The visit was a study tour. You know we have the Ibom Model Farm. So we went to see what they are doing and what we can do differently. You must compare notes. There is really nothing new under the sun. People are doing different things, so you have to check what they are doing, and compare notes.
“Let our team see what others are doing, what is behind their success story, and what we can take away. It was a working visit really,” he added.

On 27th February, Governor Eno paid a visit to the integrated and mechanised CSS Farms in Gora, Nasarawa State, to strengthen agricultural collaboration.
During the visit, the delegation undertook an extensive inspection of key production facilities and engaged in strategic discussions with the management of CSS Farms.
The session focused on knowledge exchange, best practices, mechanised farming systems, livestock integration, and scalable agribusiness models aimed at enhancing Akwa Ibom State’s agricultural value chain.
The Governor was accompanied by the Secretary to the State Government, Prince Enobong Uwah; Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Offiong Offor; Commissioner for Works, Prof. Eno Ibanga; Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Emem Bob; Commissioner for Information, Hon. Aniekan Umanah; Managing Director of AKICORP, Pastor ImohAbasi Jacob; and other senior officials from the Agricultural Investment Department.
Observers say the visit is aimed at deepening agricultural development collaboration and strengthening food security initiatives.
The engagements, both at the Presidential Villa and at CSS Farms in Gora, underscore Governor Eno’s commitment to aligning Akwa Ibom State’s development priorities with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The moves are also geared towards advancing economic diversification away from oil dependency, boosting agricultural productivity, expanding the revenue base, national integration and driving sustainable development for the overall benefit of the people of the State.
