Governor Umahi cautions Political Parties against attacking each other

The Governor of Ebonyi State in Southeast Nigeria, Engr. David Umahi has cautioned all political parties in the State to go about their normal electioneering processes without infringing on the right of one another.

 

Governor Umahi gave this warning during his interaction with Journalists at the nearly completed Ebonyi international Airport in Abakaliki, the state capital.

 

Umahi further warned that action will be taken on whoever unleashes mayhem on another party irrespective of their party affiliations.

 

“Even if it is my own party All Progressive Congress (APC) that commits offence against another political party, let the person involved be arrested and prosecuted,” Umahi warned.

 

Governor Umahi used the opportunity to urge Ebonyi people to Vote for APC and vote for Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Mr Francis Nwifuru to become the next Governor of the State and equally for himself to become the next Senator of Ebonyi South Senatorial Zone.

 

He called on everyone to eschew election vices in the forthcoming poll.

Speaking on civil servants emolument, he said state government has kept to its promise of regular and prompt and has been “paying minimum wage and I have given all civil servants some grants to have second address apart from being civil servants,”  Umahi added.
