Governor Yusuf, Emir Of Kano Join Muslims To Mark Eid Al-Fitr

The Kano State Governor in Northwest Nigeria, Abba Kabir Yusuf and the Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero have joined thousands of Muslims to offer two raka’at prayers signifying the end of Ramadan fast.
The Chief Imam Professor Sani Zahraddeen who led the prayers at Kofar Mata Eid ground in Kano city, enjoined Muslims to sustain the intense worship throughout life in order to achieve Allah’s favour.
He called on Muslims to remain brothers keeper and assist the less privilege in the society.
The Chief Imam encouraged Muslims to fast six days in the month of Shauwal and engage in voluntary fasting throughout the year to attain Allah’s favour.
Professor Zahraddeen said; “the month of Ramadan is full of lessons and it is good for us to use them in our daily lives because it teaches compassion, brotherhood, love, charity and total obedience to Allah.”
The Imam also reminded Muslims on the significance of Eid-el fitr Sallah celebration and ensure they visits their relatives, friends, and acquaintances.
He encouraged them hold communal celebrations in homes, community centers peacefully in accordance with the tradition of Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him.
Professor Zahraddeen called on Nigerians to be patriotic and pray good for the country to achieve prosperity.
Shortly after the prayers, the Emir Aminu, Ado Bayero was accompanied to Kano Emirates council by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, his Deputy Aminu Gwarzo and thousands of people as the tradition demands.
In his Sallah message, the Emir congratulated Muslims on the successful Ramadan fast.
He enjoined Muslims to continue to pray for peace and prosperity of Kano state and Nigeria as a whole.
While appreciating various interventions of government to people, Emir Bayero called on governments at all levels to be conscious of the plight of the masses especially in the period of difficulty.
Various Sallah homages were paid to the Emir and the Emirate as some Muslims interviewed felicitated their counterpart on the peaceful and successful Eid al-fitr celebration.
