Governor’s Forum Leadership: Mrs Makanjuola describes Governor Abdulrazaqs emergence as win for women, youth

Former President of the National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Mrs. Moji Makanjuola has described the emergence of Malam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Governor of Kwara State as the Chairman, Nigerian Governors’ Forum (NGF) as a victory for women and Youths.

Makanjuola noted this in a press statement where she expressed her confidence in the ability and capability of Gov AbdulRazaq to promote the interest of the forum especially in the area of promoting gender equality to his colleagues, hoping that other states of the federation will fully key into the 35% women inclusiveness in governance.

The Ace broadcaster further disclosed that the governor’s emergence was a great win for both women and youths at large while describing him as a supporter and promoter of women and youths’ inclusiveness in governance.

The Statement reads in part; “Your antecedent in attending to issues relating to both women and youths in the last four years as Governor of Kwara State has clearly shown that you are a great supporter and promoter of women and youths inclusiveness in governance in our dear country.

 “With your emergence, Your Excellency, our women and youths can be reassured of inclusive governance knowing fully well that an advocate and long standing promoter of their cause is leading the governors of Nigeria, which translates into better deals”.

Mrs. Makanjuola, who is also the Executive Director/Founder, International Society of Media in Public Health (ISMPH), also noted that the choice of Governor AbdulRazaq is timely particularly at this time when our democracy needs leaders on all fronts with greater character to deepening it.

However, the ace Broadcaster, who is also the Yeyemeto of Oro Ago Kingdom wished Governor Abdulrazaq the very best, “in his quest to making sure our democracy is well founded and there’s synergy within all arms of government”.
