The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has directed all Filling Stations within Abuja to maintain only One Queue Lane to avoid disrupting the free flow of traffic
In a statement signed by the Deputy Director, Information of Transport Secretariat, Mr Ughamadu Ifeanyi, the administration said it would not tolerate traffic gridlocks associated with their activities along the streets.
The FCTA, therefore, warned operators to desist from causing gridlock on highways due to motorists parking indiscriminately in search of fuel.
It stated that the decision became imperative following the discomfort motoring are subjected to while passing the routes where the stations are located.
The Authority added that decisive actions which may include closure of access to the Stations would be carried out, if the directive was not adhered to.
This it said, is to forestall any security as well as social threats to the public.
