The All Progressives Congress, APC Women Frontline Forum, a political pressure group has appealed to the APC and President Bola Tinubu to ensure inclusiveness in appointments.

The National Coordinator of the forum, Mrs Ann Agom-Eze said this when she visited the APC National Chairman, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje on Tuesday in Abuja.

We know his excellency, President Bola Tinubu as a man of integrity, honour and of few words who fulfil every of his promises.

“We are optimistic that he fulfill his promise of 35 per cent affirmative inclusion of women on elective and appointive positions and more, bearing in mind that most women are still in the tribunal.

“It is our belief that the president will consider us in appointive positions since men have taken practically the elective positions.

“This will serve as a reward for the commitment of the women to the party and its development over the years,” she said.

Agom-Eze said that the appeal had became necessary, especially as women were only able to achieve four per cent success in the last election.

She urged the party to recognise the women’s efforts and compensate them with grade “A” appointments to ameliorate their pains and suffering, especially those who lost elections.

She appealled that women who contested elections on the party’s platform at different levels be given due consideration.

She pledged continued loyalty and commitment of the women to the party’s leadership and the Tinubu-led administration.

The forum’s national coordinator called for necessary reformation and correction that would strengthen the party’s unity and cohesion without delay.

She said an internal conflict resolution mechanism should also be put in place to address internal party crisis that may arise in future to forestall litigations on future electioneering process.

Ganduje thanked the women for the visit, saying they were greatly appreciated for their commitment and contributions to the development of APC.

He said the party could not do much to ensure electoral victory for the women because election matters were guided by laws that must be followed.

Ganduje assured that the party would ensure inclusiveness in the distribution of political appointments as those qualified would be considered for appointments.
