The Governor of Kwara State and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq who is currently in Saudi Arabia for the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage has offered heartfelt prayers for the security and prosperity of Nigeria.
In a statement he personally issued from Mecca, where he is performing Umrah ahead of the Hajj rites, Governor AbdulRazaq expressed deep spiritual reflection and national concern, urging divine intervention in the country’s quest for peace and stability.
“After spending a few days in Medina, the exalted city of the Prophet, I feel honoured to again stand at the precinct of the blessed House of Allaah (Ka’abah) to perform my Umrah ahead of the 2025 Hajj rites,” he stated.
The Governor called on Allah to accept the pilgrimage and to grant the collective prayers of Nigerians for the well-being of the nation.
He particularly emphasized the need for divine support in addressing Nigeria’s security challenges.
“I ask that Allaah accept our Hajj as an act of ibaadah and grant our humble supplications for our nation, Nigeria, our state, Kwara, and our families,” he said.
Highlighting ongoing efforts by his administration to address governance and security issues, AbdulRazaq appealed for sustained peace and development across the country.
“As our administration works openly and behind the scene with different stakeholders to tackle various challenges of governance, I pray that Allaah bless our modest human efforts and investments day and night for sustainable peace, prosperity, and security of our people and our communities,” the Governor said.
Governor AbdulRazaq’s statement underscores a broader national call for unity, security, and divine guidance as Nigerian leaders and citizens alike continue to seek solutions to the country’s pressing challenges.
