I will implement policies to secure young citizens – Peter Obi

The Presidential Candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi has vowed to implement policies to secure the future of young citizens and prevent unnecessary migration.

Peter Obi made the vow on Thursday at the Labour Party’s campaign rally in the Ekiti State Capital, Ado-Ekiti.

“Our youths will be properly taken care of and will no longer be travelling out for greener pastures”, he added.

He also vowed to end poverty, corruption and insecurity and reduce unemployment levels in the country by ensuring that graduates get paid jobs.

We should see Education like an investment, because that’s how we can develop our country,” he explained.

Earlier, Peter Obi paid a visit to the Ewi of Ado -Ekiti, Oba Rufus Adeyemo Adejugbe, and addressed him and his council of chiefs in the palace.

“Your Highness, insecurity starts from communities, and there’s no reason, government should not be supporting communities (to fight insecurity). I am contesting because I am the most qualified. A president needs to be in charge,” he stated.

Responding, the Ewi of Ado -Ekiti, Oba Rufus Adeyemo Adejugbe noted that “There are many people running for presidency, my only prayer is that God will allow the best person, who will lead our country well to win.”
