Iheanacho Sets FA Cup African Goal Record

Kelechi Iheanacho is now Africa’s top scorer in the Emirates FA Cup following his brace in Leicester City’s 3-1 win against Manchester United at the King Power Stadium on Sunday night, reports Completesports.com.

The Nigeria international has now netted 13 times in 18 appearances, one more than former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba, who scored 12 goals in 29 games for the Blues.

The 24-year-old is also the highest scoring Nigerian in the competition, with former Everton and Portsmouth forward Yakubu Aiyegbeni is second position with nine goals.

The former Manchester City star has now scored seven goals in his last four appearances for the Foxes.

Brendan Rodgers’ side will take on Southampton in the semi-final of the FA Cup.
