India reports 38,164 new COVID-19 cases

India has reported 38,164 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, data from health ministry showed with deaths rising by 499, lowest in over three months.

According to the Union health ministry on Monday, the total tally of COVID-19 cases has increased to 3,11,44,229.

The active cases have declined to 4,21,665 and comprises 1.35% of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate stands at 97.32%.

The Union Health Ministry has informed that the cumulative number of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered under the nationwide vaccination drive has reached 40,64,81,493.
