INEC concludes collation in Gombe, announces NASS results

The Independent National Electoral Commission has concluded the collation of results and made announcements of the winners of the National Assembly Elections in Gombe State.

Below is the summary of the results by senatorial districts and Federal Constituencies:

1. Gombe North Senatorial District

Dr Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, won the seat PDP won, defeating the incumbent Senator Sa’idu Alkali of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

The senatorial district is made up of Dukku, Funakaye, Gombe, Kwami and Nafada Local Government Areas

Dukku-Nafada Federal Constituency

Mr Bala Rasheed Kelly PDP won, defeating the incumbent Aishatu Jibrin Dukku of the APC.

Gombe-Kwami-Funakaye Federal Constituency

Mr. Yaya Bauchi Tongo of the PDP won, defeating Abubakar Yerima of the APC.

2. Gombe Central Senatorial District

Former Governor and incumbent Senator of the APC, Senator Muhammad Danjuma Goje won, defeating PDP’s Aliyu Abubakar.

The Senatorial District is made up of Akko and Yamaltu Deba Local Government Areas

Akko Federal Constituency

Usman Bello-Kumo of the All Progressives Congress, APC won, defeating PDP’s Aishatu Muhammad of the People’s Democratic Party PDP.

Yamaltu Federal Constituency

Mr. Inuwa Garba of the PDP won Yamaltu Deba, defeating Mr. Shuaibu Galadima of the APC.

3. Gombe South Senatorial District

PDP’s Anthony Yaro won, defeating Senator Joshua Lidani of the APC

The Senatorial District is made up of Balanga, Billiri, Kaltungo and Shongom Local Government Areas.

Balanga-Billiri Federal Constituency

Mr Ali Isa of PDP won, defeating APC’s Victor Mela

Kaltungo-Shongom Federal Constituency

Obed Shehu of the PDP defeated APC’s Simon Kelly
