The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has emphasised the need for sustainable content creation in a fragmented media landscape.
The minister was represented by the Director-General of Voice of Nigeria, Mallam Jibrin Baba Ndace, at the 4th Edition of the Nigerian Electronic Media Content Exhibition and Awards (NEMCEA 2025) in Lagos State, South-West Nigeria.
He noted that the media plays a crucial role in national development, shaping values, perceptions, and identity.

The minister highlighted the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which aims to create an enabling environment for content creators to thrive.
He pledged the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening collaborations with industry stakeholders to ensure that the media remains innovative, ethical, inclusive, and impactful.
This year’s theme, “Sustainable Content Creation in a Fragmented Media Landscape,” is a call to action for industry stakeholders to find practical solutions to pressing issues such as funding, intellectual property protection, digital transition, and global competitiveness.
The minister commended the Electronic Media Content Owners Association of Nigeria (EMCOAN) for their vision and commitment to advancing Nigeria’s media content industry.
He expressed confidence that the conversations and exhibitions at NEMCEA 2025 would open new frontiers for the content industry and help find solutions to industry challenges.
As he declared NEMCEA 2025 officially open, the minister wished participants successful deliberations, fruitful networking, and a memorable celebration of Nigeria’s creative ingenuity.
