Anambra State Police Command says it will do everything allowed by law to get to the root of recent violent killings being recorded in the state .
The Police said it would work with sister agencies, to ensure that the mastermind and foot soldiers responsible for perpetrating killings were speedily brought to justice.
Addressing a newsmen at the State Police Headquarters in Awka, the State Commissioner of Police, Echeng E Echeng, while commiserating with the family of murdered State Lawmaker, Hon Okey Okoye, assured that no stone would be left unturned until purveyors of violence were totally eradicated to make the state safe for development.
“Anambra State Police Command condemns this barbaric killings by suspected elements pretending to be fighting on behalf of the people. We are already working round the clock to get the perpetrators”.
He added that his Officers had started narrowing the space and attacked most of the camps of criminal elements especially in Anambra South axis and its environs.
The State Police Boss, called on residents and leaders of thoughts to do all they could to assist them, by providing intelligence reports and information needed, to fight crime to a stand still in the larger interest of the people and nation as a whole.
