The Chartered Institute of Leadership, Manpower and Management Development (CILMMD) has honoured Nigerians who have distinguished themselves in various leadership positions at the National Leadership Conference and Colloquium 2025 for their exceptional contribution to leadership in public service.
The conference, with the theme “Leadership Beyond the Norm”, which is held in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, is designed for Africa’s visionary leaders, entrepreneurs, and change-makers who are prepared to transcend conventional leadership paradigms and adopt strategies that foster sustainable impact.

The conference serves as a platform to elevate, highlight, and honour leaders who are dismantling barriers, redefining standards, and building organisations, communities, and brands with enduring legacy.
The Director General of the institute, Dr. Theophilus Cornerstone, during a media chat at the event, said the institute was promoting exemplary leadership for younger generations, recognising those who stood out in that category.
He noted that the recognition was a way of mentoring future generations on the path of good leadership.
According to Dr. Cornerstone, the choice of awardees from the security, education, and interior sectors was because of the transformations going on in these sectors through the persons President Bola Tinubu has placed at the helm of these institutions.
He added that other deserving ministries and agencies would be penned down for next year’s recognition.
Some of the recognised Nigerians include a posthumous award for the late Alhaji Aminu Dantata. Special recognition and awards were bestowed on the Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Mr. Afolabi Babawale (ANIPR), Mike Ozekhome SAN, and a host of others.
