Nicolo Govoni, CEO of the Still I Rise company, has been honoured to receive the Ahmadiyya Muslim Peace Prize for “his tireless dedication to human rights and the education of refugee children.”
The award, established in 2009 by the Ahmadiyya Muslim community, recognises individuals or organisations for their contributions to the advancement of peace.
Receiving the award in front of over 40,000 delegates across 100 countries and international guests, Nicolo Govoni expressed appreciation for the peace award with shock when he was announced.
According to him, “I was absolutely speechless when I received the news. I am deeply grateful for this incredible honour, not just on my behalf but on behalf of the entire Still I Rise family, without whom nothing would be possible,” Nicolò remarked.
He said the peace award would inspire and encourage his organisation to continue with renewed energy in the mission of changing the world together, one child at a time.
The Nicolo international humanitarian organisation has embarked on building schools for vulnerable children and refugees across 10 countries, namely Syria, Yemen, Greece, Ghana, Kenya, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Colombia and India.
Nicolo Govoni has published six books in the Italian language to underscore his beliefs in qualitative education, research and humanitarian activities. The books are Bianco Come Dio (2018), Se Fosse Tuo Figlio (2019), Altra Versso

The international peace award initiative is in line with the motto of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, “Love for Hatred For None”.
The annual Islamic Conference of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association UK lasted for three days, from Friday, July 25, to Sunday, July 28.
